Technical
- Efficient pump head design provides less pressure variability over a range of flow rates giving more even pressure throughout the hydrant line

The pump head has two mechanical seals
- One mechanical seal is to keep the oil in the column (bearings are running in the oil at all times so they cannot rust or seize.)

Other mechanical seal in the pump body to keep pressure in the pump.

Adjustable pressure plate / reverse impellor
- Off centre hole in pressure plate allows it to pick up more liquid and compress to create more pressure
- Can adjust pressure plate to create more or less pressure in pump head

Two shafts in pump
- The shaft in the pump head with female spline allows you to take the pump head off without stripping the whole pump
- It also allows you to change the length of the pump by replacing the column and shaft
- The other shaft with male spline is connected to the electric motor shaft with a fixed coupling, the couplings do not have to be lined up
- The pump head can be changed from a 7.5kW to a 11kW or 18.5 kW just by changing the impellor

Why a Doda Pump?

Doda are the world’s largest specialist dairy effluent pump manufacturer with a long history of developing and manufacturing effluent handling equipment. Their pumps are purpose built for moving small to large volumes of livestock effluent.

Year round housing of animals is common in most of their markets which mean their pumps are subject to much higher duties than what is typically the case in the NZ market. As a result the reliability factor is high and the service interval longer when compared with other pump brands.

There is always a compromise between solids handling capability and performance. Doda’s long experience has allowed them to minimise this degree of compromise and as a result their pumps provide the greatest pressure per kW of any centrifugal effluent pump on the NZ market with the same solids handling capability. This allows for the use of smaller motors than would be otherwise required.
