What type of Stirrer do I need?

• How thick is the liquid that needs to be stirred

We have considerable experience selecting the right stirrer for the job, there are many brands out there to choose from, but only a few actually do the job right.

• Vertical (Electric)
• Horizontal
• PTO

Whether you pump from a pond or a tank it is essential that you stir Dairy Effluent before and during pumping to ensure that the solids which contain a lot of the Dairy Effluent value in the form of nitrogen, are pumped out rather than remaining on the bottom of the pond/tank in the form of sludge, and therefore wasting a valuable resource in terms of free fertiliser.

In addition to this a good stirrer operated correctly will help to prevent the build-up of a crust, aerates the pond/tank which helps to minimise odour and increase the breakdown of solids and helps prevent a build-up of sludge on the bottom of a pond/tank which reduces the overall holding capacity.
