Solids Separation

Do I need a Solids Separator?

Solid Separators become essential when
  • Used in conjunction with low-rate application systems which use small nozzles to help avoid blockages
  • The farmer wants to spread the solids component further than the area covered by their Dairy Effluent irrigation system (by using a muck spreader). It effectively turns the whole farm into a Dairy Effluent block allowing for efficient use of their Dairy Effluent nutrients
  • A farm that is increasing production, solids separators present an alternative option to extending the reticulation of a Dairy Effluent irrigation system in order to cater for growing Dairy Effluent volumes to be spread
  • The solid content of the Dairy Effluent is or could cause issues with pumping, line and irrigation equipment blockages
  • There are excessive amounts of feedpad solids that cannot be scraped or stored

How do you choose what is the right separator for your farm?

Key things such as
  • Volume it needs to handle per hour
  • Size of the solids you wish to extract
  • The amount of moisture you need taken out

We have had experience with a range of separators; manufactured locally and overseas.
